Duino Aurisina

The pittoresque bay of Duino Aurisina in front of the castle of Duino is well known for its beauty. Sometimes, if you take a seat in one of the local bars or restaurants it seems that time passes somewhat slower than in other places.

Here you can spend some time very confortly, having a glass of chilled Prosecco or taking a nap at the mole, or simply counting some ships slowly floating by on the horizon...

Being more into cultural sighseeing you will find some exciting places here, symbolically following the footprints of famous poets like the german Rainer Maria Rilke (Duinese elegies) or the piano wizard and composer Franz Liszt who had discovered the very charme of this spot centuries before...
