Canal Grande

The most popular seats in one of the most beautiful open air museums in the world: the Canal Grande |
Most probably it is the most extraordinary and remarkable main street that has been build, ever: The Canal Grande in Venice (in venecian dialect called el Canaasso), 2.17 miles of mere beauty, luxury and history - at least because of the storytelling Palazzi, lined up seamlessly at the Canale as pearls of a collier.
We won't promise too much if we'd say that it offers you as well the most comfortable visit of a museum that you could imagine: Simply board a Vaporetto and go for it. (the savvier ones buy a 24h ticket ;)
Crossing the Canale Grande
Every single of the round about 200 palaces is, to put it this way, in a steady "dialog" with the Canale creating new and surprising perspectives, reflections and insights with every move you make. It is one of the most expressing experiences you can make in Venice making it the city that everyone wants to have visited at least once in a lifetime...
Btw did you know that the Canale Grande once was dried out in the 14th century?
