The island of Kaprije is a gem among the Croatian islands, located 12 nautical miles off the coast of Šibenik (Krka – Skradin – waterfalls). Life on the island is spacious, unpretentious, and authentically Dalmatian. The harbor is considered storm-proof, surrounded on three sides by hills. It is not a marina - hence the affordable rates - with 18 heavy-duty buoys and many mooring spots. It is usually fully occupied after 6 p.m. During the summer months, the harbor comes alive - cocktail bar - bocce court (a European champion often plays there) - pizza & pasta & bar - beach promenade with a beach bar (10-minute walk) - some private apartments also offer food and drinks not just for their guests. Value for money at the Gulin family’s place = Excellent! – Make a reservation. 10-minute walk along the promenade toward the harbor exit. Best in the evening (good house rakija). The small old town with its stone houses, some dating back up to 400 years - the vegetation and hilly landscape give it a special charm. From the highest point at 200m, the panoramic view is outstanding. (30 min from the harbor) OK More info: chrislxv@gmail.com
