It is located in an internationally recognized wetland protected by the WWF, namely the Marano Lagunare lagoon. After a short one-hour motorboat ride through the unique lagoon landscape, you reach the 7-kilometer-long unspoiled island.
There, you can collect rare shells to your heart's content (don't forget a plastic bag) or watch the numerous birds. The trip is well organized and begins at the marina, the Darsena of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

A boat trip through the lagoon is a wonderful experience (especially on hot days, when a sea breeze provides pleasant relief from the heat).
