Punta Marina

Ravenna

A historic spa and resort town with a major attraction - though at first glance, you can't see a thing.

Punta Marina Terme is located just north of Lido Adriano and is a historic seaside and spa resort in the immediate vicinity of Ravenna. It's the perfect place to combine a beach vacation with visits to the thermal baths.

The beach stretches for miles, is wide, and has fine sand. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, and for those who prefer not to use them, there are also open areas on the beach.

Punta Marina Thermal

Baths

What makes Punta Marina particularly appealing is its modern spa center, located right on the beach between the sea and the pine forest.
The spring, which lies 42 meters below the surface, is rich in minerals such as bromine, iodine, salt, calcium, and magnesium.

With 470 mg/l of magnesium, this healing water is not only extremely rare but also ideally suited for treating the musculoskeletal system and respiratory tract, as well as for women's health issues, beauty treatments, and hydromassages.

A few miles off the coast of Ravenna, there is something to discover: the wreck of the Paguro oil rig. The Paguro was abandoned in 1965 following an explosion.

Although it was a tragedy, in hindsight it also had its silver lining. The area was designated a nature reserve because a reef formed around the drilling platform, which is enjoyed not only by fish but especially by divers. The Paguro's coordinates are 12° 34' 57" E, 44° 23' 4" N.
