Albarella

Veneto

Private island in the Gulf of Venice:
The perfect place for your vacation in the Gulf of Venice if you're looking for safety, comfort, and tranquility.

Albarella is a private island south of Venice and Chioggia, where visitors can either relax or enjoy their favorite sports. The island is located within the Po Delta Nature Reserve and is connected to the mainland by a bridge.

It is 5 kilometers long, 1.5 kilometers wide, and covers 528 hectares of Mediterranean scrubland, home to over 2 million trees. 150 different tree species grow here, including maritime pines and silver poplars (Populus alba), after which the island is named.
This is the natural habitat of fallow deer, pheasants, hares, herons, marsh harriers, black-winged stilts, and little egrets.

Flamingo Alert!

in the Biosphere Reserve

100% of the land and water area is under strict nature conservation. A 2.5-kilometer-long, fine sandy beach stretches along the east coast. The island is connected to the mainland by a road; you can choose between villas, vacation homes, and apartments, or rent one of the 455 berths for boats up to 25 meters in length.

You'll quickly get used to the sight of theflamingos - which escaped from southern France 20 years ago and have settled in the Po Delta.

Albarella, purchased by the Marcegaglia Group in 1988, is considered one of the most elegant vacation destinations in the Adriatic region. It is a lively yet secluded place, similar to a club vacation, where one has little contact with local life.
