The beach is ideal for families with children because it slopes gently, and the water gets deeper only gradually. As a result, the water temperature here is always pleasant.
The Adriatic Sea here is very clear and invites you to take long swims and play beach games. Feel free to look around. The beach associations often offer free entertainment that's a hit not just with kids. (As is the zoo near Lignano, which you can easily reach from here.)
Thanks to the beach's size (on average, it is up to four hundred meters wide), every guest can find a quiet spot even during peak season. And a clean one at that, since the beach administration is known for taking the order and cleanliness of the beach sections very seriously. That's what the bandiera blu, the Blue Flag, stands for.
