Beach Life at Lido di Spina
Lido di Spina is home to the only nightclub in the Porto Garibaldi area, though several beach bars seem to make up for this. However, the town is quite spread out, so any concerns in this regard are unfounded. This is why Spina is popular with families with children.
Those interested in art will be delighted by the Casa Museo Remo Brindisi, a museum of modern art of national significance. Works by prominent European, American, and Asian artists are on display here. Cultural events are also held here.
Lido di Spina stretches for 6 kilometers. To the immediate south, it is bordered by the Vene di Bellocchio and the Reno River - this is also where the province of Ferrara ends.
As archaeologists have discovered, Lido di Spina is named after the lost Greek-Etruscan port city of Spina (a few kilometers west of Comacchio). Modern-day Spina has no historically developed town center and consists of vacation homes, a few hotels, restaurants, and shops.
