Downtown Caorle
Many events are held here in the summer, such as the traditional procession of the Madonna dell'Angelo or parades in historical costumes. And let's not forget the annual fireworks display, which takes place at the end of the high season to the delight of guests of all ages.
One of the most charming spots in the Old Town is Campo Negroni. There is an art exhibition there (free admission) that is open all summer long.
Many of the building facades are adorned with frescoes and copper high reliefs, making them a treasure trove not just for photographers. The alleys of the Old Town are very narrow and long. In the past, women used to grill fish in charcoal braziers there, as well as on the Rio Terrà, and the delicious aroma would waft throughout the entire neighborhood.
In the old town, you'll find plenty of opportunities for shopping. Numerous shops invite you to browse and linger. There are also countless ice cream parlors-where the ice cream is still made in-house-wine bars, and venues with dance music. Many cultural events also take place in the center, such as the "Street Theater Festival" featuring mimes and clowns.
