A little adventure in itself-a ride on the Livenza ferry.
The Botter family has been running this ferry service for thirty years. The landing stage in Caorle is located at the western end of the beach, while the one in Porto Santa Margherita is next to the harbor, at the eastern end of Porto S. Margherita.
The ferry carries pedestrians as well as cars and cyclists. During the summer, the ferry operates daily in the morning from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and in the afternoon and evening from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
While we're here: Just to the right is the excellent seafood restaurant Al Faro. You shouldn't miss this opportunity to enjoy a small primo.
While you wait for the ferry (on the Caorle side), you can grab a quick drink at the bar of the nearby Trattoria al Faro. It's a tight squeeze, but it works.

Here are the prices (ferry to Porto Santa Margherita).
